My Gratitude List - June 2016

I am writing a gratitude list after 2 months. I don't like missing this post every month, but I was very much occupied with work and kids.

1. Birthday
June is my birthday month :-) Yes, It' a Gemini month. I don't celebrate birthdays like I did in my childhood, but a cake, a homemade sweet and a visit to temple somehow fit in the celebration. I don't worry much of growing age but want to celebrate my every birthday as I feel grateful to the God for giving me a caring family and healthy life.

2. Instagram Challenge
It was a lot of fun participating in the Instagram #PhotoadayJune challenge! Though some prompts are difficult, most of them are easy. I was super busy this month and I feel grateful to have completed this successfully. Thanks for #Marathonbloggers group for encouraging me to do this. Here is a snippet of the challenge.

3. Beating up the summer
Texas is very hot. It is a  great deal surviving the heat with 2 young kids. Thanks to the sunscreen, temperature control at home and indoor games :-) I made some good friends this month and it was fun spending time with them. I could also talk to my closest friends after a long time.

4. Movie under the moon light
This was the first family outdoor event we attended in San Antonio. Kids and we adults too loved watching 'Jurassic world' munching some snacks. I don't want to talk about mosquitoes, our insect repellant saved the day. We are planning to attend one movie night every weekend of this summer. Lets see if it works out well :-)

5. My New planner
You might say, what's the big deal? It was very difficult organizing my book reviews and promos to be scheduled on my blog till now. I used excel templates, but nothing is coming nearer to a handwritten planner. At last, I have found some good planner. I hope, it will make things easy from now on. I am very happy for this as I am writing after a long time on a book and I love it.

So, this was the lovely month of June! How did you spend your time in June?

Until next time,

  1. Looks like you had a busy month, Mahathi. :) I have tried the 30-day photo challenge in the past and it is a wonderful experience participating in it. Glad you enjoyed it too. Now that the summer is here, I am sure all of us will have loads of fun activities to keep us and the families occupied. A planner always reduces the stress in us where we can finally plan around the tasks and also take a look at what is achieved. Here's wishing you and the kids have a fun July ! :)

  2. O yes it's a big deal.. for sure.. Making a planner and using it religiously is a big deal. All the best for that.
Summer is equally bad here in my city.. A bit of rains and the sun comes at its best the next day bringing all the moisture along! The weather sucks.
Birthdays are always a feel good factor, aren't they? No matter if we celebrate them or not, but they sure bring a kind of happiness to us..

I hope July is even more fun :)

    Cheers

  3. I can imagine how 'strange' it must be to use paper and pen! Funny how we get so used to the keyboard that basic writing becomes a task!

  4. What a delightful post, Mahathi! Everything sounds wonderful - but first, happy belated Birthday wishes to you! Your celebration sounds lovely! That open air movie photo brought back many memories :) And your planner looks fantastic. I've always felt a physical planner works best and carry mine everywhere with me. Thank you so much for participating in the June Gratitude Circle bloghop. Looking forward to seeing you again this month - on 28th!
