An inspiring quote

This is one of the best quotes that inspire me.

It happens many times that we know we are on right track, but unsure on how our family members or society around us might react to that. We are afraid that no one stands up for us if we take that right direction which majority doesn't support.

But, there is something called intuition and conscience. It says loud and clear if we are right or not. I prefer listening to that.

Whenever people take decisions on their academics, job, marriage or their hobbies, they might get conflicting opinions from friends, family and others. It is very good to listen to all the opinions before taking a decision. But, we should take a decision on our own assessing the impact and we should own the responsibility too. No one is perfect in this world and these decisions might prove us wrong in future. But, taking responsibility on failure, learning from it and correcting is the best course of action one can do, instead of blaming people who helped in taking the decision.

So my #LifeMantra is doing what I feel right, even if I have to stand alone because of it. I want to take responsibility of my success and failures equally.

What is your opinion on doing it right when no one supports you?
I will be happy to know your opinion :-)

Until nest time,

To choose happiness or not, Choice is yours..

Time flies whether you are having fun or not. The choice is yours. - Unknown source

We all know, time is precious and it doesn't stop for anyone. The choice is ours, to be happy, have fun or be sad and worry about past or future.

Do you know? Happiness is contagious. When you are happy and enjoy what you do, you spread positive vibes around. Do you believe in positive aura? Few people or few friends or colleagues make us happy even when we spend 5 mins with them. Isn't it? Did you ever try to be that kind of friend/ colleague to some one? This doesn't mean that we have to show happy face even when we are sad. Low phases of life happen and it's okay to be gloomy on those days. But, choosing some fun factor in life, makes it easier to overcome gloomy days.

I see, many people are doing some challenges on social networking sites like #100HappyDays. They have to choose one good reason per day to be happy and post them on Facebook/ twitter/ instagram. We have to choose happiness and search happiness because we  have to live every minute of life - either happy/ sad until we die. Choice is ours. What do you say?

Start a day fresh!

The way you start your day determines how well you live your day - Robin Sharma

I am not an early riser. It took long time for me to realize the importance of starting a day positively.

Early to bed and Early to rise - we are hearing this from childhood. Many do yoga and surya namaskarams in the morning,  meditate and start the day with exercise or walking. In this hurry bury modern life, getting up early and sitting peacefully for sometime itself is difficult.

I too want to start my day by praying God on opening my eyes, take a stroll and enjoy the nature, have a steamed cup of coffee, enjoy its aroma, read newspaper and listen to good music. It might be the most ideal way to start a day for me.
But, lazy me, I get up late, run behind kids to make them ready, feed, have a quick breakfast, get ready and run to office. There is no exception even on weekends. Laziness pushes me still more deep inside, making me sleep late in the friday night watching a good movie or simply surfing Facebook,  just to pass time and feel that it's going to be a weekend and thus getting up late on Saturdays. Thus, weekend mornings too carry same routine except that everything is done in slow pace, be it a bath or breakfast or anything else :-) This technology does it's part keeping me away from my ideal fresh start of the day. Sometimes, I get up early, feel like I should utilize time by going for a walk or sit peacefully and then open Facebook, office mails, gmail and Instagram in my phone and Voila! it will become a normal day, time will fly and I have to run for the errands :-)
Have a lovely Morning!

This might be the case for many too, but still I believe starting  a day positively will impact our attitude for whole day. When we get up late, since we will not have time for anything, we get nervous, shout at family, crib about traffic , crib about managers in the office and be irritated whole day. This sure can be avoided by starting the day fresh. For some, it means meditating, for some, it's yoga, for some, it's exercise, for some, it's listening music and so on.. What is your ideal way to start a day?

Success and Failure

Another 3 day quote challenge? Corinne from EverydayGyaan invited me. It's my privilege to accept her invitation. So, let me take this opportunity to talk about more inspirational quotes for 3 days and spread positivity :-)

Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm. - Churchill

Very inspirational quote about Success and failure. Dreaming about success is good, but dealing with failure is tough, right? that too.. being focused and positive after failure is still tough. There will be some phase in everyone's life when we go through many failures one after the other. This phase tests our patience and confidence. If we can stand against storm and work without losing enthusiasm at that phase, everything will be fine. Anyway, low phases of life doesn't stay all the time.

Whenever I think about success and failure, I remember another quote from Thomas Edison. 2 quotes on same post :-) Fine, but these two quotes are very much related. I remember this quote whenever I fail. I can relate this especially to my cooking. I was so bad at cooking at one point of time and lacked confidence that I found all possible ways to spoil a dish :-) Ok, but many lessons learnt, from the experience.

I have not failed, but I've found 10,00 ways that won't work. - Thomas Alva Edison
So, that's about two inspirational quotes that I love on success and failure. Thanks Corinne for nominating me  for 3 day quote challenge. :-) I am not tagging anyone for the challenge, as i am taking this for the second time. Travel ready always!

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page - St. Agustine

I  love books and also travel, so this quote caught my attention quick :-) If there is some good book available, how can we read a single page and close the book? Likewise, travel makes you addictive if you love nature, people, history and places.

In ancient times, students were asked to travel to different places and learn from experience after completing their education. Definitely, it makes sense. Reading from books and understanding world is one perspective. But, applying the knowledge in real time by observing different people, analysing different situations and responding at proper time is completely a different skill. Earlier, this mandatory travel after studies ensured this.

Now, situations are different. We travel to relax, enjoy, learn about new cultures and rejuvenate ourselves to relieve from stress. No one has time or money to travel for knowledge. Keeping that aspect aside, many doesn't even plan vacations or holiday destinations at least once a year due to their busy schedules. But, if we experience a connection to the nature by travelling to a place disconnecting ourselves with this world, we will understand it's impact on our lives. We will understand how it gives peace and helps us to de stress and makes us fresh.

I am travel ready always. Try to plan a travel, you won't regret my advice :-) What do you say?

Changing ourselves for a good change

Be the change you want to see in the world. - Mahatma Gandhi

Very inspirational quote, isn't it? But, how difficult it is? Can we change ourselves to see a good change in our society ?

I feel, it's very difficult than said. Let's say - we want our children to spend time at home in a meaningful way than watching television for more time or playing on mobile phone. But, can we switch off television and stop watching it for the sake of children and give them a company for a good change? Can we stop playing games on mobile so that we can be a role model? I know, there are many parents who do sacrifices for children. This will be really a great way to spend meaningful time with kids and make them realize importance of time.

So, this quote by Mahatma Gandhi makes more sense  now. Let the journey of change begin from ourselves first. Written for 100wordsonSaturday hosted on WriteTribe.

Also, writing this for 3 day quote challenge. Rules mentioned in Day 1 post here.
Thanks Deeshani for nominating me :-)

Motherhood taught me..

I love this wonderful quote by Dr.Seuss.

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory - Dr.Seuss

Mostly, we wont realize the importance of beautiful moments in our life. Life is temporary and un-predictable. We get many ups and downs and we need some inspiration to be positive always. These moments and memories keep us going when we are low.

My thought process changed when I gave birth to my second kid. This time, I wanted to cherish each and every moment of motherhood. I enjoyed every small achievement of him and felt proud on his first crawl, smile and walk. I didn't want to miss those moments. It was so cute seeing him crawling and this phase of his life will be at-most few more months. Later, it becomes a memory. I can see these only on recorded videos. There were sleepless nights, waking up at least 3 times to feed him, which was not easy when I had to go to office without enough sleep. But, I felt, this phase is very small and these moments will never come again even if I want to. This brought more positivity in my life.

Motherhood taught me patience and positive spirit, because kids are unpredictable, one day they laugh and play a lot, be cute and make life worth living. Some days, they get sick, stick to you whole day, cry without any reason, need your reassurance and attention whole day and irritate and drain you by the end of the day. Now, I am more matured to deal with stress. Earlier, multi tasking was never my forte. I was not able to cook properly if I talk on phone simultaneously. I used to give attention to every work I do and used to avoid multi tasking. If I do multi tasking, definitely I would spoil the work. Now, it doesn't seem difficult, to attend call, cook in the middle while taking care of baby simultaneously :-)

Life teaches many lessons, Good or bad - everything is an opportunity to learn something. So, cherish every small moment and capture them so that you can enjoy those memories later.
