The Self Realization Fellowship Encinitas temple:

The Self Realization Fellowship Encinitas temple is the location where Paramhamsa Yogananda lived and wrote this book. This Hermitage is a shrine now and a retreat for people who want to meditate. 

The Encinitas temple is a branch of the Self-Realization Fellowship, an international organization founded by Sri Paramhamsa Yogananda. This temple offers spiritual lectures, meditation support, and devotional chanting. Click here to know more about the temple.

Meditation Gardens are a part of the temple premises and are a peaceful oasis with cliffside ocean views, koi ponds, and lush vegetation, designed for meditation. It is free to enter. 

Thanks to my friend's suggestion, it is a beautiful place as well, with a variety of plants and great ocean views.
