Her Fifteen minutes of fame

Suji is an introvert in class. Even though she wants to clarify her doubts on the subject or answer the questions of the lecturer, her mouth becomes dry and she becomes weak and couldn't talk. She always likes to stay away from the madding crowd.

It is very difficult for her to come out of the shell and habituate to the fast paced city college style.
All her friends ridicule her for her shyness.

Today is the annual day in her college, Suji dressed elegantly walking towards the party area with peppy music played in the background. Rajiv steps in front and pushes Suji on to the dance floor to tease her.

She is terrified when all eyes are set on her to take another opportunity to humiliate her. She let her hair down, closed her eyes to face the music and followed the beats setting aside her inhibitions. She danced on the floor like no one else is around. She never knew this would become her fifteen minutes of fame.

Until next time,

  1. Good on her! People take the silence for granted at times and try to humiliate. I hope she surprised Rajiv and the other classmates by dancing without inhibition. :)

  8. Fascinating to see her take the bull by the horns and show that she's made of sterner stuff. Good job, Ramya.

  9. It's funny how even people who stammer can get on stage and be completely different - have no problems with delivering their lines or singing in front of large audiences!
