I had come across 'Instagram' in 2012 and I instantly loved it. Not because it is the best platform to share your favorite photos with your friends, but for the filters that made my pictures look great.
I am not a great photographer, but I love capturing lovely moments of my life and watch them later when I need inspiration and motivation. Since I have only basic skills in photography, I am not sure how to adjust the lens, focus an object and blur the background, set the lighting etc., When I first got introduced to the number of filters in Instagram, it was a fantastic experience. I never shared much of my personal photos but I clicked day to day pics and nature a lot.
I have stumbled upon #photoadayJune instagram challenge last month in marathon bloggers facebook group. The challenge was to post one photo a day throughout the month of June and I jumped with excitement to join the fun. A few prompts were dead easy, a few were fine and a few were very tough. Somehow, I managed to complete the challenge in June and here is a snippet of the challenge.

Although I love instagram, I had bad time with it. I don't know how, but my account was hacked once and it showed me following atleast 2000 unknown people. 😩
Somehow I retrieved my account back but couldnt remove every one from my 'following ' list. Still finding a way or an app to do mass unfollow.
So, this is my Instagtam story, do you have any strange story with social media?
Until next time,
I loved the colors in your photos... Beautiful... Saw some familiar places too. Will follow you on insta.
ReplyDeleteSure thanks Rajlakshmi
DeleteSocial media has it cons too. Good that you retrieved the account. A beautiful collection of photos. The photo for the prompt -water looks like the back waters of Southern India.
ReplyDeleteThat waterbody is river Cauvery in Coorg, Karnataka Ira.
DeleteWow, great photos. I only joined insta recently but never started using it. I'm not the kind who takes photos much so I feel a little out of place there. It's great for photographers I guess, and that's an interesting challenge. :)
ReplyDeleteIts great for amateur photographers as well.. try it Darshana
DeleteGood pictures for the prompts. I like your interpretation of vibrant with Bhagawan Vishnu.
ReplyDeleteYes Suzy. Really the idol is very bright and colourful right?

DeleteLovely pictures. And I am an IG fan. Such awesome accounts to follow. I keep my account private and that tip I can give you to stay safe from hackers.
ReplyDeleteI kept my account private for some time but wanted to use it for my blog promotion as well Payal. So made it public now
DeleteSorry, i meant Parul
DeleteI love IG too. I'll add you there. Beautiful pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Payal
DeleteI love Instagram as well. It's been a good way for me to share the beauty all around me in rural Mexico. My pictures are pretty normal, flowers and nature and stuff, and I'm not a photographer by any means, but it's been fun. I love the little edits I can do that help my picture look more like it should. I haven't tried any instagram challenges though yet--maybe a future goal? Anyway, great post!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you too like instagram Tdef. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on instagram.
DeleteSome beautiful shots and many familiar places you've got there! I love IG too though do not post everyday...! Someone I know also had a bad experience in IG. Hopefully, sorted for good now!
